Year 10 artists in the STEAM space

The year 10 art students have been discovering that there is far more to Egyptian Blue than meets the eye! They have been learning the story of blue pigments through history, and discovering the chemistry expertise of the Egyptian artists. The quest for blue perfectly illustrates how chemistry and art are intertwined. Some surprises included how Egyptian Blue is now being used for advanced biomedical imaging techniques, and the importance of the engineering behind paint tubes!
