I hope everyone is still staying active and keeping moving during these times. Last night on the news, although it is no where near over, the curve seems to be flattening so there is light at the end of the tunnel and by keeping positive, we will reach the other side. Everyone has been impacted in one way or another so it’s important to each play our part and stay home as much as possible and do those garden or living room workouts or your one run or walk a day, so we can reach the other side more quickly.
I have come up with some ideas below to keep the workouts switched up and different over the days that seem to merge into each other.
write down a list of different fitness influencers on Instagram, YouTube etc and each day pick a workout from a different one each day
focus on 1 aspect of training each day, for example today may be leg day, tomorrow arm day, then cardio, then core. This will allow you to have variation and breadth to your training
come up with your own workouts and split them into the above categories and pick different exercises for each day
find a good playlist. Music makes all the difference to feeling motivated throughout the whole workout
I hope these tips help to keep those workouts varied and different in the days that seem to all be the same 🙂

France vs. England 02/02/20
Le dimanche à 16:20 l’équipe d’Angleterre a fini de jouer un de ses pires matchs contre l’équipe de France amélioré. Dans la première moitié du match, la première try était très tôt et il a été marqué par Teddy Thomas.
La deuxième moitié été plus rude pour les Français que la première et l’équipe d’Angleterre a marqué son premier try après 60 minutes.
Dans le match deux cartons jaunes ont été donnés à la France.
L’homme du match était Gregory Alldritt parce qu’il était très important pour le succès du match et il a fait beaucoup de plaqués.
Selon nous, l’échec de l’équipe d’Angleterre était très embarrassant. Mais, l’équipe de France a mérité de gagner.

Le match entre l’équipe de France et l’équipe d’Italie était très intense et intéressant de regarder.
L’équipe de France a gagné le match 35-22, malgré ne jouer pas très dans la deuxième moitié.
Dans le match 8 tries sont été marqué. À notre avis le meilleur try a été marqué par Gregory Alldritt, l’homme du match deux fois en rang.
L’équipe d’Italie a marqué un try dans le final minuit toutefois, ce n’était pas suffisant pour gagner.

Le match entre l’équipe de France et l’équipe de Pays de Galles était le plus excitant de regarder pour l’instant.
La deuxième moitié du match était très prometteuse pour les deux équipes mais malheureusement pour l’équipe de Pays de Galles leurs tries ont été marqués trop tard.
L’équipe de France a gagné en Cardiff quand l’homme du match Roman Ntamack a marqué un assez chanceux try après il a intercepté le ballon qui a irrité les fans gallois.
Le score final était 23-37 pour terminer un match intéressant.

À notre surprise, l’équipe d’Écosse terminé la séquence de victoires de l’équipe de France, avec un score final de 28-17.
L’équipe de France avait un bon début, car ils ont marqué le premier try, après 32 minutes. Cela a été suivi par deux tries écossais, à 40 et 44 minutes. Cela a conclu la première moitié.
Year 8 Spanish have started to learn how to conjugate regular present tense verbs in Spanish. To help them memorise the endings, they watched this video and were inspired to write their own lyrics to familiar tunes. In some cases, they even wrote the music themselves. Needless to say, they had a lot of fun making these videos and will forever have those endings at the tip of their fingers!

Wo studierst du?
Ich habe meinen Bachelor an der Universität Tübingen gemacht und werde dort ab dem Herbst auch meinen Master machen.
Was studierst du und warum?
Sowohl mein Bachelor of Education als auch mein Master of Education sind in den Fächern Englisch und Politikwissenschaft. Ich habe mich für diese Fächer entschieden, da mir Sprachen und Sozialwissenschaften in der Schule sehr viel Spaß gemacht haben. Zur Auswahl standen auch noch Deutsch und Geschichte, aber da ich mit einem politischen Stipendium ein Jahr in den USA verbracht habe, fiel die Wahl schließlich auf Englisch und Politikwissenschaft. Dafür auf Lehramt zu studieren habe ich mich entschieden, weil mir bei einem Praktikum an einer deutschen Schule klar geworden ist, dass ich sehr gerne mit Kindern und Jugendlichen arbeite und es mir Spaß macht, Wissen in Fächern für die ich brenne weiterzugeben.
Wieso hast du dich entschieden, dort zu studieren?
Die Entscheidung in Tübingen zu studieren war zugegebenermaßen eher zufällig. Hauptgründe für meine Entscheidung waren die Nähe zu meiner Heimat, der Elitestatus der Universität und dass mir die Uni bei einem Informationstag recht gut gefallen hat.
Was ist die Geschichte von der Universität?
Die Universität wurde im Jahr 1477 gegründet und gehört damit zu den ältesten Universitäten Deutschlands und Europas. Die Gründung im 15. Jahrhundert war unter Einfluss des Grafen Eberhard im Bart und dessen Mutter geschehen. Von Eberhard stammt auch das Motto der Universität: Attempto! (lateinisch: Ich wag’s!). An der Uni Tübingen wurde die erste eigenständige naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät Deutschlands gegründet, doch leider wurden die Naturwissenschaften auch dafür missbraucht, das Dritte Reich und den Nationalisozialismus zu legitimieren. Heute gibt es sieben Fakultäten und etwa 30 Studiengänge. Die Universität Tübingen ist seit 2012 mit dem Exzellenzstatus ausgezeichnet und ist damit eine von 11 Exzellenzunis in Deutschland. Des Weiteren prägen Uni und Studierende die ganze, eher kleine, Stadt und machen etwa ein Drittel der Bevölkerung aus. Das Durchschnittsalter der Einwohner ist das jüngste in Deutschland.
Wie hast du das Lernen und deine Freizeit balanziert?
Lernen und Freizeit zu balancieren ist nicht immer einfach, besonders wenn man eine Sozialwissenschaft studiert, die mit viel Pflichtlektüre und zahlreichen Hausarbeiten in den Ferien verbunden ist. Leider bin ich nicht das beste Vorbild, da ich oft prokrastiniert und Aufgaben bis zuletzt aufgeschoben habe, wenn es möglich war. Ein Tipp, den ich jüngeren Studierenden jedoch geben würde, ist, dass es Sinn macht sich zuallererst einen Planer anzuschaffen. Ohne meinen Planer hätte ich mein Studium wohl kaum überstanden, da man nicht mehr – wie in der Schule – geregelte Tageszeiten hat, sondern Vorlesungen jederzeit zwischen früh morgens und spät abends (mit langen Pausen dazwischen) stattfinden können. Um nicht den Überblick zu verlieren und außerdem seine Hausaufgaben und Deadlines immer im Blick zu haben, ist ein Planer sehr hilfreich. Auch macht es Sinn sich den Tag selbst geregelt einzuteilen, wie z.B. morgens immer seine Pflichtlektüre zu lesen o.ä.
Wie sieht deine Universität aus? Ist sie altmodisch oder modern?
Meine Uni ist sowohl altmodisch als auch modern. Sie ist aufgeteilt in zwei Hauptbereiche, die “Tal” und “Berg” genannt werden. Der Campus Tal erstreckt sich bis ins Zentrum der Stadt und ist der alte Teil der Universität, in dem man vor allem die sozialwissenschaftlichen, lingustischen und juristischen Fachbereiche findet. Dementsprechend sind die Gebäude auch vorwiegend sehr alt und pompös. Der Campus Berg hingegen befindet sich, wie der Name schon sagt, auf dem “Berg” in Tübingen und dort findet man die naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultäten, die sehr modern ausgestattet und gestaltet sind.
Magst du Tübingen? Wie sieht es aus und was könnte man dort machen?
Ich mag Tübingen, da es sehr schön ist in einer solch jungen und progressive Stadt zu leben, in der fast alles auf Studierende ausgelegt zu sein scheint. Tübingen ist sehr liberal und alternativ und es gibt zahlreiche Cafes und Bars in denen man einen gemütlichen Mittag oder Abend verbringen kann. Jedoch ist Tübingen auch recht klein und begrenzt in kulturellen Angeboten, wodurch dieses Jahr in London eine tolle Abwechslung für mich ist.
Findest du es speziell, dass du aus Tübingen kommst? Warum?
Ich finde es teilweise speziell, dass ich aus
Tübingen komme, weil es mir durch die vielen verschiedenen jungen Menschen
einen neuen Blick auf die Dinge ermöglicht. Außerdem ist es vielleicht
besonders, dass die Stadt im Vergleich zu vielen anderen deutschen Städten eine
politisch sehr linke Blase darstellt und das politische Klima somit oft sehr
anders als im Rest von Deutschland sein kann.
Robert Doisneau (1912–1994) was a French photographer of international renown. He was a champion of humanist photography and a pioneer of photojournalism.
Doisneau was known for his modest, playful, and ironic images of the lives of ordinary people on the streets of Paris ‘circulant là où il n’y a rien à voir’. He presented a charming vision of human frailty, and life as a series of quiet, incongruous moments.
Doisneau is renowned for his 1950 image Le baiser de l’hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Town Hall), a photograph of a couple kissing on a busy Parisian street.
The Y11 advanced French group tried to imitate his style, capturing aspects of life at WHS as a series of ‘les moments furtifs’.
Un Moment de Pause – by Rosie
La scène se passe dans la cour de récréation, au début de la pause du matin. En arrière-plan, on voit des élèves sortir précipitamment du bâtiment. Cependant, au premier plan, il y a un moment d’immobilité où une fille, Martha, observe l’agitation pendant se perchant sur une table. Pour moi, ce que je trouve beau, c’est qu’elle contraste le mouvement avec l’immobilité.

Ce sont deux photos en noir et blanc. Ils s’appellent ‘Le Meilleur Arrive’. Elle date de 2020. Les photos ont été prises au ‘Wimbledon High School “et vous pouvez voir des échafaudages entourant le bloc scientifique. Dans cette école, les enseignants et les élèves attendent la construction de nouveaux bâtiments. Il existe un programme pour reconstruire toute l’école. Toute la photo est net donc c’est possible à voir le détail.
Le bonheur avant les examens le 26 Février 2020 – by Diya
Cette photo a été prise alors que deux filles couraient pour déjeuner. Cela me fait penser à quel point mon école primaire était amusante. Je suis touchée parce que je peux voir leur pure joie innocente dans un événement quotidien aussi général. À mon avis, je voulais montrer que le bonheur est un choix que l’on peut choisir à tout moment comme le montrent ces deux filles.

La scène se passe dans la bibliothèque, le matin. Dans la photo on peut voir plein de livres, et entre l’étagère, se trouve une fille – Martha – au centre de l’image. Derrière elle, on peut voir que le soleil brille à travers les fenêtres, donc elle peut dormir même dans la lumière. En regardant l’image je suis touchée parce que la photo donne une sensation de calme et tranquillité dans la bibliothèque, et elle illustre à quel point le collège est fatigant.

Cette photo montre une élève heureuse pendant la journée scolaire. Elle s’appuie contre la table et la photo implique la tranquillité pendant la journée. Quand je regarde cette photo, je me sens relaxée car la photo a l’air de bonheur. À mon avis, je voulais montrer comment l’école est un bon environnement, parce que les petits plaisirs sont importants, par exemple, pour voir tes amis et acquérir de nouvelles connaissances.

Tous les hommes ont l’air de la vouloir donc elle semble une statue ou une décoration. Elle est perçue comme un objet de désir plutôt qu’un être humain avec des sentiments. Elle est le stéréotype d’un bon corps féminin.
Last year we went to Beijing for a school trip. Our Chinese class only has three students, so wepartnered with another school. This was fun because we made a lot of new friends. We arrived in Beijing on Monday morning. We were very tired because the flight was long. After lunch we went to the Olympic Park and we saw the Bird’s Nest Stadium and Aquatic Centre. We had Peking duck for dinner, and it was delicious!
Lama Temple
We had our first Chinese class on Tuesday morning. Our classroom was under a coffee shop, so during the break we ordered tea in Chinese. After lunch we went to Lama Temple and we burned incense. Then we went to the Confucius Temple, where we watched a Chinese dance show and it was very interesting.
We went to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park on Wednesday afternoon. The Forbidden City was huge, and we walked for three hours. We enjoyed learning about Chinese history. After going to the Forbidden City, we climbed the hill in Jingshan Park. We could see a panorama of Beijing, but there was a lot of pollution. After dinner we went to the night market and I bought bubble waffles. We went to the Great Wall of China on Thursday! The weather was hot and sunny, and we had a picnic lunch on the Great Wall, which was really fun. The view was amazing, and we took a lot of photos.
We went down the hill on a slide in the afternoon and we thought it was fun. On Friday after Chinese class, we went to the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is in a big and beautiful park. We saw people dancing and doing other park activities. We also went to the Pearl Market, where we practiced speaking Chinese and bought souvenirs. In the evening we went to a restaurant for dinner; we had hot pot and it was delicious.
Saturday was our last day in Beijing. We went to Houhai, where we saw a beautiful lake and explored the alleyways. Then we went to Nanluoguxiang, which is a big shopping street. I bought Chinese tea, stationery and souvenirs. We returned home to England on Sunday. We had an amazing time in China; we had a lot of fun, made new friends, learned Chinese, ate a lot of delicious meals, and saw a lot of interesting places. I think our trip was great!
