Ever since school started 3 weeks ago, I’ve been desperately trying to savour the last remnants of the summer, and nothing reminds me of summer more than the Mamma Mia soundtracks. So here are my opinions on all the songs from the Mamma Mia movie soundtrack rated from best to worst, based on the song, the singing, and its scene in the movie:

The Breakfast Club is seen as one of the most iconic films from the 80s. This coming of age classic explores the experiences of five teenagers forming an unlikely friendship in detention despite their obvious popularity differences and separate cliques. Breaking their high school stereotypes through dance breaks and sincere conversations, finally seeing each other as equals. And I hate it.
Frozen was lauded as a feminist breakthrough for Disney when it finally voiced what audiences were thinking: ‘You can’t marry a man you just met’. But to what extent does the cultural feminism we understand today in advocating for a woman’s romantic agency translate into the feminist critical practice pioneered in the 1960s?
