If like me, every Christmas, your family commits to large variety tubs of chocolate over an intense game of Monopoly, you will be very familiar with the chocolates you invariably pick first, and indeed, the chocolates others snatch up before you. You will also be familiar with the unwanted species, who, much like the least favourite child, get reluctantly picked at the end once your mouth has been coated in sugar, and so is not fully appreciated. Call this over-analysing, but (BuzzFeed quiz style) have you ever pondered what your favourite Celebrations says about you?
Mars = you’re sweet, aggressively positive and have a saturated and intense personality. You do too many activities leading to a dizzying schedule, and your mere presence stresses the rest of us out as we reflect on how we inadequately and unproductively spend our time. You remind people that you really CAN have too much of a good thing, yet we all admire your motivation and energy.
Bounty = you have mature taste, and you’re naturally responsible. You are academic and have high expectations of yourself, you work hard and help others work too which inspires us all. You will grow up to give oranges out on Halloween, join the local book club, and eat nuts and dried fruit for dessert.
Galaxy = you get what you see – you’re predictable and simple, but you’re determined to reach goals and are consistent. You’re the people we always lean on for continuity and calmness, as you are level-headed, and nothing will knock your values. You are a loyal friend.
Galaxy caramel = you remind us all not to a judge a book by its cover, as you look intimidating on the outside but are soft on the inside. You’re very sweet, affectionate and make excellent friends, as well as being family orientated. Despite being a little disorganised, you’re naturally talented – not much negative to say, one of the best chocolates in the tin.
Milky Way = on first impressions you’re quiet, reserved and have clear life goals, but on closer inspection you can also have fun. You can have volatile friendships, as you can be quite childlike when tired (I would here like to justify my actions by mentioning that these are my favourite chocolates), but you are a lot of fun and are very reliable at the right time of day.
Snickers = you are extroverted and easy to talk to but are the human embodiment of marmite. You attract people to you, and you’re not afraid to try something new – you probably like going on adventure holidays, as you can never sit still. But you turn some people away as you’ve got a big personality, and too much to handle at 8:40am on a Monday morning, but you also make lots of people feel comfortable in new environments.
Twix = congratulations! You’re the composed and organised person we all desire to be. You’re cool, calm, and collected. You’re rarely flustered and will grow up to be a ‘proper’ adult, with strong values and stable relationships.
Malteser = you are compatible with all other chocolates as you’re easy-going and content. You like company and are light-hearted but get overwhelmed easily, yet you never want to make a fuss. You have close friends around you because you are a good listener but find it hard be honest because you never want to hurt others’ feelings.
