Summer seems suitably around the corner in time for the end of the school year. And, whilst we may be boiling like potatoes inside our classrooms, you may want to consider taking a trip to your local garden shop and starting a new hobby – plant parenting. In light of this (or lack thereof, considering this past weekend’s weather), I wanted to share some propagation and protection techniques to grow and care for your very own seedlings.

Ukraine and its never-ending quest to prove its independent existence
Ukraine is an exceptionally beautiful country – and you’d have gotten quite familiar with it due to the extensive media coverage of the unforgivable war Putin started on the 24th of February 2022. Yet, I would argue that this conflict began much earlier than that, with the unlawful annexation of Crimea in 2014 being a memorable example of the aggression towards Ukraine.

As the Easter Holidays are coming up, I thought I’d delve into why exactly we associate Easter, a religious celebration, with bunnies and eggs. It just so happens that during my research, I found myself in a (forgive me) rabbit hole of Pagan holidays, German traditions and mountains of curiously decorated chocolate.
