To add some excitement to the final stretch of the summer term (you’re almost there, guys!), we’re delighted to continue our SLT interviews series and introduce you to the Community Action Team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This year’s Community Action Team includes Lila and Jemima as the Heads of Charities and Partnerships, Lauren as Head of the Charter, and Anna as Head of Sustainability and the Environment.
What are you most looking forward to doing during your time on the SLT?
Anna: Getting closer with other members and leaving a positive mark on the school!
Lila: I am looking forward to organising and running some super fun events such as Charities Fair, off-timetable days, etc. And setting up a new partnership…
Jemima: I’m really looking forward to making a difference to the community outside WHS and having loads of fun doing so through events – from fundraising activities to the Partnerships programme!
Lauren: Connecting with everyone and encouraging more participation from all year groups as I organise new events. I’m most looking forward to listening to new opinions from people I wouldn’t otherwise have had the chance to connect with.
What’s your go-to comfort meal?
Anna: My mum makes AMAZING burritos – definitely those
Lila: A really crispy on the outside, but soft in the middle jacket potato with baked beans and LOTS of cheese!
Jemima: Any type of pasta.
Lauren: My go-to comfort meal is really anything my dad makes me!
What’s a niche topic you’re really passionate about?
Anna: I love languages – I take Spanish A level, but I love learning others too – I can speak some Portuguese (Irene is super sweet and helps me), Icelandic and Japanese!
Lila: How to get concert tickets when no one else can.
Jemima: Finding the best sweet treat deals in Sainsbury’s…
Lauren: I’m really interested in talking to people and hearing how they experience and go about their lives. I’m especially passionate about treating people with respect and the impact that even small interactions can have on others.

Anna: Life In a Two-Husky Household
Lila: The Best Ginger Alive
Jemima: Two “n’s” two “t’s” – Bennett not Bennet
Lauren: I don’t think I’d ever be able to decide a title!!
What’s your comfort movie/TV show?
Anna: Harry Potter or The Good Place.
Lila: Schitt’s Creek (TV show), Traitors (TV show), Mamma Mia (movie).
Jemima: Paddington and Mamma Mia.
Lauren: Sex and the City, or anything written by Jenny Han.
What are your top 3 favourite songs?
Anna: Hold On – John Lennon, Chihiro – Billie Eilish, Risk – Deftones (These are my current favourites, but they change all the time)
Lila: Dive by Olivia Dean, Buss it Down by RAYE, and You Can’t Hurry Love by Olivia Dean & Jools Holland.
Jemima: Oscar Winning Tears by RAYE, Dive by Olivia Dean, and Ribs by Lorde
Lauren: This is the hardest question for me to answer, I’ve always had the same favourite song and a bunch of ones following it! Three of the latter are Not in love by 10cc, Peace u Need by Fred again, and Relax Take it Easy by MIKA.
