On Monday 6th June we saw the no-confidence vote take place, which Boris won at 211 to 148. However, that means 41% of the Conservative party (his MPs) failed to back him. During the PMQ on Wednesday 8th June, Boris stated that, ‘nothing and no one’ will stop him continuing as Prime Minister and delivering for the British people. Highest Petrol Prices in 17 years

On Tuesday 7th June, petrol prices in the UK rose, so that filling a typical family car, (55l) could reach £100 by Thursday 9th June according to the RAC. This is mainly due to less dependence on Russian oil, due to the war. The average price of petrol rose to 180.73p per litre on Tuesday, the RAC stated. Simon Williams, the spokesperson of RAC fuel was discussing how the cost of wholesale petrol dropped unpredictably by around 5p a litre on Tuesday and if this is sustained, could stem the flow of ‘daily record petrol prices.’ He estimates the average price per 1L of petrol could reach around £2.
